The guidelines for executing the new Gruha Lakshmi scheme (Rs 2,000 per month for every woman head of a family) have been furnished by the State Government. As per that when the woman or her husband counted beneath the income tax net or the GST would not be qualified for the scheme. The women who have BPL/APL or Antyodaya cards would be qualified.
On BPL or APL or Antyodaya cards, the beneficiary’s name must be specified as the head of the family, under the said guidelines. People who do not have such cards would not be qualified.

Between 15th June and 15th July, the qualified beneficiaries are able to submit their applications. The beneficiaries shall be selected post-15th July. They shall obtain the money dated 15th August. Within their bank accounts the same will be sent directly. Women could apply for that via the Seva Sindhu portal or at authorized agencies.
Money sending process shall get reversed for the applicant who provides fake data and the action shall be taken against them. It is necessary for people to link their Aadhaar card with those Bank Accounts who are applying for the same scheme.
Cautious Thing Arrived
Prior to claiming for the Gruha Jyothi scheme you should be cautious and initiate saving in order to pay the electricity tariff for the months of June and July. Consumers still do not receive the electricity bills even after the passing of the 1st week of June. A delay in generating bills was due to the department computing the amount based on the revision in KERC orders. Energy Minister KJ George stated.
