Finance Secretary Assures GST to be Completely Secured

The government is taking every effort under its strength to tackle down the uncertainties of goods and services tax. The finance minister Hasmukh Adhia recently stated that the government is going through all the technological advancements and scrutiny to ensure that goods and services tax becomes totally foolproof against any of the tax evasion chances or unprecedented situations.

As he was attending a state level seminar on the topic of GST, he mentioned that “GST is an end-to-end IT-based tax system. We are making all efforts to make it full proof with the help of technology, A technology-based tax system will prevent tax evasion. We are also making efforts in the direction of making it more simple.”

He also said that goods and services tax is much more user-friendly than previous tax regimes and he doubts if any businessman would try to escape the taxes if he finds the tax scheme desirable, i.e. reasonable tax amount, appropriate tax calculation and the protects the interest of taxpayers.

He goes on to say that goods and services tax was a crucial tax scheme and rolling it out across the nation was not possible with the mutual cooperation of the officials of both centre and states. Overall he appeared to be satisfied with the implementation of goods and services tax and said that the tax scheme might further get advance and makes the entire economy stable.
