It is been suggested by the report that rebranding roles for those working on policy instead of the tax assessment to titles that show their major obligations, senior government officials mentioned. Commissioners of Income Tax (CIT) within the CBDT are not been engaged in income tax matters so we offered they be designated as commissioners.
Redefining Functions in Media and Technical Policy
Redundancies in some designations are been discovered by the committee. For instance, the officials managing the media responsibilities are said to be CIT (Media & Tech Policy), but the officials do not oversee any technology policy work. As per the official, it was recommended by the committee that the CIT for Media & Tech Policy be renamed commissioner (media), as this role does not secure any technical policy oversight.
Changing the title of Officers on Special Duty (OSD) on the CBDT board has been proposed by the committee.

It was seen by the committee which division or designation is good to manage such requests, objecting to optimizing the operations within the CBDT for these matters.
