MoF Empowers DGGI (GST Intelligence) to Block Prohibited Online Content

Summary of MoF Notification F. No. N-24015/3/2024

A notification from the Ministry of Finance dated January 6, 2025, providing the authority to the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) to manage bogus activities under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the GST Act, 2017.

The measure hires the Additional and Joint Directors (Intelligence) at DGGI headquarters as nodal officers for implementing provisions u/s 14A(3) of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
