Unlimited Tax Return Filing

Only 1 Month Gap for Filing GSTR 9, 9A & 9C Returns of 2 FY’s

Filing GSTR 9, 9A & 9C

In a very peculiar situation for the taxpayers, there is an only a 1-month gap between the annual return filing of GSTR 9, 9A and 9C for the whole two years of annual data.

Yes, this may be a complex task for both taxpayers as well as tax professionals who will have to juggle through thousands of invoice, transactions details of these two years within the period of only 1 month.

The government might not help the taxpayers and tax professionals in this case as it has already been extending the due dates of GSTR 9 annual return CBIC again extended the due date of GSTR 9, 9A and 9C for FY 2017-18 till 31st December 2019 and FY 2018-19 till 31st march 2020 for quite a long time.

For example, the GST department has extended the due date of annual return for the financial year 2017-2018 for a total of 4 times which looks weird and confusing.

At first it was fixed at 31st march which was extended till 30th June and then further to 31st August which is still 3 to 4 days away from today. And now it is extended till 30th November.
