She said that is the best example of a silent revolution any democratic country can show.

She inaugurated the “44th Civil Accounts Day” event which was organised by the CGA of India.

At the event, the Finance Minister also said that India is proud of the civil accountants for creating the product named ‘Public Financial Management Systems’ (PFMS). She said that the revolutionised technology driven PFMS has empowered India and made it more accountable, transparent and responsive. The product is designed to help government agencies in processing and tracking the payments.

She said that more than INR 1 lakh crore are being saved by the efficient and effective use of technology. Adding further she said that the officers have proved that Indian Finance is not opaque.

She said that this is the biggest use of technology that they saved INR 1 lakh crore through DBT and that corruption can be removed from the society with the help of technology.
