UDIN Facility to Verify Aadhaar-Linked Email and Mobile Number
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new platform to help people verify their mobile number and email address linked with their Aadhar number. The step was taken because there have been many cases found where Aadhaar OTP is received to the wrong mobile number.
The option of “Verify email/mobile number” is available on the UIDAI website or you can also complete the process through the mAadhaar app. Citizens will be able to use the tool to make sure that their mobile number and email ID are linked with their Aadhaar card properly.

The “verify Aadhaar” option on the Myaadhaar portal or mAadhaar app lets users check the final three digits of the linked mobile number with UIDAI during the Aadhaar-mobile number link procedure if they are not sure it is correct.
The function will alert a person and advise them to update their information if their mobile number or email address is not linked to their Aadhaar card. To add or update their cell number or email address, people can go to the nearest Aadhaar centre.
The new feature will help to make sure that the mobile number and email address linked with the Aadhaar card are correct and secure, improving people’s security and transparency. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology appreciated the step and stated that it would give people more control over their Aadhaar records and prevent any potential threat to their personal information.
