What is the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar scheme?
The central government has launched a reward scheme called Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar to encourage people to upload invoices for purchases of goods or services that have a tax called Goods and Services Tax (GST). This scheme aims to incentivize consumers to share real, honest information about what they’re buying, which helps the government keep track of the taxes being paid.
A cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore monthly/quarterly will be furnished before the people who have uploaded the invoice obtained via the retailer or wholesaler on the application under the invoice incentivization scheme.

On both IOS and Android platforms, the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ mobile app is available. GSTIN of the seller, invoice number, amount paid, and tax amount, should be on the GST invoice uploaded on the app.

Key Points to Remember Regarding the Scheme:
On the app, a person is enabled to upload a max of 25 genuine invoices for a month and the invoice must secure a min purchase of Rs 200.
- Lucky Draw Eligibility: To be eligible for the monthly lucky draw, customers must upload all their Business-to-Consumer (B2C) invoices from the previous month by the 5th of each month.
- Draw for Quarterly Bumper Rewards: A quarterly lottery will take place, offering substantial rewards, and it will take into account all the invoices uploaded by the 5th of each month from the three previous months.
- Upload Invoice Details: Customers must provide essential invoice information for each upload, including the supplier’s GSTIN, invoice number, invoice date, invoice value, and customer state.
- Approval by System: The system will reject inactive or fraudulent GSTINs and GST fake invoices uploaded.
- Lower Limit of an Invoice: Invoices with a value of at least Rs. 200 will be eligible for consideration in the lucky draw.
- Max Upload Invoice Bill: Each individual can upload a maximum of 25 invoices per month.
- ARN Reference Numbers: Unique reference numbers (ARN) will be generated for each uploaded invoice, which will be used for the draws.

Every month, over 500 computerized lucky draws would be held, with prize money totalling lakhs of rupees. Two lucky drawings will be held each quarter, with a prize pool of up to Rs 1 crore.
