Both groups have called for the prompt processing of all applications filed for changes to registration data on the GST Common Portal.

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) some days before provided the circular for the physical verification of the bogus dealers and the bogus registrations. It gave the GST Department (State and Central GST) a directive, and as a result, representatives from both departments are conducting a campaign from May 16 to July 15. Physical inspections of the business locations, operations, and other aspects of dealers’ businesses are conducted throughout the campaign, and steps are being taken to terminate their GST registration.

According to the provisions and guidelines outlined in the GST legislation, if a registered businessman furnishes an application to make critical changes in the details of his registration certificate, the application should get resolved within the prescribed time limit, which is 15 days.
