From December onwards the small and larger businesses will not be able to transfer their goods from one place to another if they will not furnish the GST return within the due date.
From December 1 GST network will activate the automatic system, the one who will not furnish the GST return in form GSTR-3B then he will not be able to generate the e-way bill
The e-way bill is an electronic method to permit the movement of goods on the e-way bill portal. A GST enrolled person will not carry goods in a vehicle whose value is more than Rs 50,000 without filing the e-way bill.
The penalty will be imposed along with the GST registration cancellation
Senior Partner, AMRG & Associates Rajat Mohan said “Earlier the automated tool was made applicable only to registered persons with a turnover of over Rs 5 crore. Now extending it to all registered entities would force them to file returns on time, improving the overall compliance level in the country,”
“Compliance for registered individuals with a turnover of over Rs 5 crore started just last month. More time should have been given to small businesses for now. This will only make the GST process more painful,”
