Nashik division has witnessed a hike in its Good and Service Tax (GST) revenue collection. The considerable growth of 12.36% was seen in the Jan-April period of FY 2019-20 when compared to the same in FY 2018-19.

The Nashik Division of CGST sent cordial notices to 1,500 tax defaulters seeking them to sort out their prior tax dues at the earliest. Nashik Division under CGST has been given a compiled surveillance of five districts namely Nashik, Ahmednagar, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Nandurbar. Similar areas are controlled by the Nashik divisional office of the State GST department.
Out of 1.25 Lakh businesses registered with GST office Nashik division approx 65,000 businesses are registered under the jurisdiction of Nashik divisional office of the State GST and 60,000 businesses are under the jurisdiction of Nashik divisional office of the Central GST.

Since the implementation of GST, the country has witnessed a lot many amendments in the laws among which the prominent was the increase in the exemption limit from Rs. 20 lakhs to rs. 40 Lakhs. It is for the first time that the office of the commissioner of the GST Nashik Division has initiated an event focussing on the stress-free environment for the staff and also making room for some recreational activities (enhancing the arts and cultural qualities of the staff). The participants in the aforesaid event will be the staff members of CGST (entire Maharashtra, excluding Mumbai Zone).
