GSTN: New Invoice Reporting Portals for User-friendly Compliance

The Goods and Service Tax Network recently published its new advisory regarding e-invoice portals. Interestingly, this advisory has a strong hint of releasing four new IRPs( Invoice Reporting Portals). The mentioned private IRPs are already available for taxpayers to report GST e-Invoices.

The GSTN issued the following advisory to stakeholders on February 25th, 2023

Dear Respected Taxpayers, In addition to the NIC-IRP, GSTN has onboarded four more IRPs (Invoice Reporting Portals) for reporting GST e-invoices. As a consequence, a new e-Invoice site, www.einvoice.gst.gov.in, has been beta-launched, where taxpayers may access complete information on e-invoice compliance in an easy-to-use style.

For example, you can find all the information such as Checking your status, being self-enabled for invoicing, searching for IRNs, and online links to all IRP portals – which means all the information you need in one easy-to-use place. Taxpayers can use their GSTN credentials to log in to the new e-invoice site for specific services related to their GSTIN profiles.

All Taxpayers must note that The website einvoice.gst.gov.in serves as a reference for all masters (data), updates, news, new releases, etc. You still have to visit the einvoiceX.gst.gov.in sites in order to register GST e-invoices and use APIs.The following are the URLs of IRPs sites that are now permitted to create IRNs:

URLURL Activation Status
einvoice1.gst.gov.inActive
einvoice3.gst.gov.in
einvoice4.gst.gov.in
einvoice6.gst.gov.in
Shall be available soon

Also, our Grievance Redressal Portal has a help desk for e-invoice difficulties where taxpayers may get assistance with IRP-related problems by selecting the appropriate IRP from a selection created for each private IRP.

Please take notice that taxpayers can still report e-invoices on the NIC IRP portal (https://einvoice1.gst.gov.in/) in the same manner as before. Your compliance journey will be made as easy as feasible via GSTN. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any GST queries or issues.

The current status of the websites are, einvoice.gst.gov.in and einvoice1.gst.gov.in is operational and up to date, And taxpayers can use NIC IRP Portal (einvoice1.gst.gov.in) to report their e-invoices.

According to the advisory, access to the websites einvoice3.gst.gov.in, einvoice4.gst.gov.in, and einvoice6.gst.gov.in will be possible shortly. The GST e-Invoice Portal’s beta testing is now complete. As of the most recent upgrades, the new portals are accessible.

Also, the GSTN made it clear that taxpayers with e-invoice problems can contact the Grievance Redressal Portal (https://selfservice.gstsystem.in/), where the appropriate IRP can be chosen using a dropdown constructed for each private IRP. Other portals for reporting invoices would make the compliance journey more realistic by taking some of the pressure off the NIC GST e-Invoice site.
