GST Official Twitter Handle Gets Power Pack Team

The finance ministry has assigned eight tax officers to manage and handle the Twitter handle being pushed for the solution of GST related doubts and queries. The statement released by the finance ministry said that it is better to assign the twitter handle to responsible tax officials to solve out the queries related to the GST.

All the officials, which are assistant commissioners are been chosen from the neighbouring commissionates by the ministry. The commissioners selected are Raj Karan Agarwal, Rajni Sharma, Raunaq Jamil Ansari, Shantanu, Bullo Mamu, Heera Lal, Manish Chaudhary and Anshika Agarwal.

A senior finance minister stated that “The decision to appoint the officers was taken as lots of queries are being raised through social media platforms,” a senior finance ministry official said, These tech-savvy officers will provide online solutions to queries related to the GST.”

Goods and services tax was enforced on 1st July 2017 across the nation in order to regulate the Indian tax scenario and to maintain the tax scheme within the motto of One tax one nation. The GST is an indirect tax format which is applicable for all the traders and taxpayers which are currently making business running in the market at a certain threshold decides by the finance ministry and GST council.

The government since then have started several initiatives ranging from Seva Kendra to the online twitter handle and GST campaign on popular media source to aware people about the latest tax scheme. The initiatives have garnered a lot of attention since people are unaware of the new tax scheme and its functionalities.
