In a free- wheeling round table meeting Top 21 World’s CEO along with US President Donald Trump on Monday, Modi said, “India’s growth presents a win-win partnership for both India and the US. US companies have a great opportunity to contribute to that.” He stressed out that 7,000 big and small steps have been taken by the government so that businessmen operate their business easily in India in a bid to attract investments and also easier for foreign companies.
He further added that “Implementation of the landmark initiative of GST could be a subject of studies in the US business schools.” Due to the implementation of biggest tax reform GST Regime from 1st July, PM Narendra Modi went on to list of some specific opportunities like developing hotels through public-private partnership around 500 railway stations in India. He said, “efficiency, transparency, growth with the benefit for all” were the mantra of reform for his government.
Officials said that PM called for cooperation among startups for bringing in innovation to “tap the huge education and vocational training potential in India”. Top famous CEOs including Walmart’s Doug McMillon, Apple’s Tim Cook, Google’s Sundar Pichai and Caterpillar’s Jim Umpleby and also Mariott International chief included Johnson & Johnson’s Alex Gorsky, Arne Sorenson, MasterCard’s Ajay Banga, Warburg Pincus’ Charles Kaye and Carlyle Group’s David Rubenstein also attended the meeting at the Hotel Willard Intercontinental in Washington ahead of Modi’s summit meet with President Donald Trump on Monday.

While addressing speech Narendra Modi said to executives, his main concerns are macroeconomic condition and job creation since demonetization, given PM Modi’s focus on ‘Make in India’.
