Oncoming GST has given a fruitful news to the Nagpur land owners, as the city has got all the attention it needed due its feasibility and approach-ability from almost all the cities of the Nation. Once the GST applies itself into the scenario, the local and indirect taxes which were levied at every stage of geographical shifting of goods will be slashed.
This one major reason has brought almost all the companies to build their storehouses in the city which is nearly middle to the country. The transportation will get a subsequent reduction from the setup in Nagpur. Many companies have been inquiring about the land acquisition over here. Earlier Future Group has planted their warehouse over here around three years ago but now almost every major giant player in the goods production and distribution has been looking a space to fit in.
Companies like, Amazon an e-commerce giant, John Deere a tractor manufacturer to Flipkart and Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali firms are seeking some warehousing space over the beneficial land of Nagpur. Viren Thakkar, managing director of warehouse manager Logistics Park India, acknowledged that “he was getting three inquiries a week about Nagpur, up from one a month a year ago.”
