The tax returns of GST, Goods and service tax is open for filing from today itself by GSTR 3B form. The CEO of GSTN network Mr Naveen Kumar states that the facility of filing the taxes of GST for taxpayers for the first return will be open till 20th August starting from today that is 5th of August.
He also invited the organisations and companies for filing their GST returns for the first time and can pay their taxes. The government and the GST Council has given a relaxation in filing the taxes with self-assessment basis for the initial 2 months. The reason being is to prepare the taxpayers to file the returns on the flexible basis and to simplify the compliance for them.
The returns will be filed for July and August on the GSTN portal with the one time form GSTR 3B. It is an interim return form for the initial 2 months and services will be starting today up to 28 August. There is a total of 25 Banks which are ready to serve the tax collection point as Reserve Bank of India authorised them to do so.
With more than 71 lakh taxpayers which are registered with the GSTN portal coming to a total figure of 13 million new registration. All of them have to file the return by 5th of September. The companies have to show all these sales receipts of August till the designated date of 5th of September and have to pay for taxes while the date for filing the sales return of September is October 10.
