Recently, the Gujarat high court rules out that the ITC not claimed earlier, can now be claimed till 31st March 2019. The decision came aboard after the high court accepted a petition.
The petition from the AAP & CO. which was Authorised Partner vide R/Special Civil Application No:18962/2018 has made the high court to direct the government to reply the said statement making it timeline for claiming Input Tax Credit for FY 2017-18 till September month GST return only.
Earlier the government had restricted the claim of ITC till 30th October only making it tough for the businesses to claim the ITC pending in case any of their returns were found indifference from the upload details.
