The special secretary and member Vivek johri has recently issued a letter to its colleagues which stated that there might be multiple changes in the union budget of 2021-22 which would be presented in Jan/Feb 2021.
In the amendment, it has been suggested that there would be changes in the duty rates and rationalization of duty rates applicable to certain commodities.
Also, there were some exemptions that would be studied in the light of their utility and would be further recommended to the board members. Also all the duty cases, value and volume of imports, domestic productions
It is requested that all the suggestions must be sent to the TRU by 27 November 2020, and the policy matters will be considered as per the discussion. Also, do forward one copy to the policy wing for consideration.
