The foreign individual and the government entities from the compulsory need of Aadhar grounds authentication has been prolonged towards the goods and services tax(GST) enrollment.
The Indian people will need to follow the Aadhaar authentication or personal verification route for GST registration
Those privileged via notification through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will have now constituted of a person who is a non-Indian citizen, departments or establishments of central government or state governments, a local authority, under law body, a public sector engagement.
“This notification provides the much-needed relief especially to MNCs having foreign directors, who are not required to obtain Aadhaar number and would not have been able to comply with the requirement,” said Abhishek Jain, partner at EY.
