Dealers Reclaim Rs 17 crore Due to Fake GST Invoices in Bengaluru

Karnataka Commercial Taxes Commissioner M.S.Srikar said that the dealers in Bengaluru have reclaimed their input tax credit of approx. Rs 17.45 crore, after realizing that the claim made by them was based on false GST invoice.

Commercial Taxes department took many actions against fake ITC claims and the cluster of arrest created fear in guilty businessmen.

Those who have made IT claims either by mistake or with an intention to cheat the government are reversing them fearing that we will get at them with use of technology and physical inspections.

Strict legal actions are been initiated to fulfill the taxes from fraud dealers, and on those registered dealers included in bill trading to fraud ITC claim.

A businessman Mangilal from Bengaluru was remanded by the special court for economic offenses as he was running a business in the name of a dead woman, and to claim ITC from the government, he was issuing fraud GST invoices.
