DHL, the logistic services providing company has reportedly planned to invest USD 10 crore in upcoming years in India. Presently, the German logistics company is preparing itself for the upcoming GST along with its customers in India. Notably, the GST is going to be implemented by 1 July 2017.

Looking at the obvious increment in the demand after the implementation of GST, the giant German firm has planned to invest over 10 crore USD in upcoming 3-4 years in India. The company will use it for the expansion of its supply chain operations. Scott Allison, President of Survival Science and Health Services, DHL Customer Solutions and Innovation, in a statement said, “We are working together to create new solutions for the Indian market. Our special focus is on GST and immediate challenges.”

Allison also said that he wants to help the customers for GST Compliance so that they can be prepared for it possibly. He said this in an interview during the 17th DHL Global Life Sciences and Healthcare Conference held in Singapore on 20-13 June 2017.

Notably, GST is going to be implemented in India from July 1 and we can also see the mixed effect in the merchant community across the country because of it.
