For the fiscal year, 2021-22 Delhi Government held that the number of digits of the Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) Code for average turnover.
A declaration has been given by the government states that change in the notification of the government of national capital Territory of Delhi in the Department of Trade and Taxes No.12/2017 State Tax, on the 30th June 2017.
According to the declaration, it is clarified that the number of HSN code shall be 4 for the average turnover of Rs 5 cr in before the fiscal year.
HSN stands for Harmonised System of Nomenclature and is used for various international product nomenclature developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO).

“Provided that a registered person having aggregate turnover up to five crores rupees in the previous financial year may not mention the number of digits of HSN Code, as specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table in a tax invoice issued by him under the said rules in respect of supplies made to unregistered persons.” declared in the notification.
The provided notification will be imposed from 1 April 2021.
