Attention Income Tax Officers! Department May Charge You As Well

The administration has taken the high pitched scrutiny into consideration and will take care of the taxpayers who are getting tortured by the assessment officers in the matter of evaluating taxes.

It was found by the CBDT chairperson Sushil Nanda that there was misinformation regarding the tax value and it was surged unethically, due to this reason, the chairperson had made it clear to the regional tax authorities to be careful regarding any misrepresentation of tax data.

High pitched scrutiny means that assessment officers sometimes inspect the taxpayer’s data and source of income very diligently and deliberately assuming that the taxpayer is evading the taxes of what he is liable to pay.

Also, the CBDT chairperson cleared that the high pitched assessment may also to transfer and authoritative action against the assessment officer. The local committees were formed earlier to solve out all the issues of the taxpayers but sadly they were unable to ease out the problems.

Due to this fault, the chairperson has cleared that this time there will be an absolute procedure to find out the culprit assessment officer with respect to the high pitched scrutiny of any taxpayer.

There are at least 10 assessment officers which are currently under the scanner of the department and have been speculated to irritate the taxpayer with their method of high pitched scrutiny.
