New guidelines have been announced by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) to help individuals who are having trouble with their Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration. These guidelines aim to make the process easier for everyone.
All Chief Commissioners, as per the updated instruction No. 04/2025-GST, are obligated for the central tax matters and are mandated to form and share their particular email addresses. Such email addresses shall permit the applicants to send in their complaints for their GST registration applications.
The same updated system complies with the earlier rulings that furnished a structure to manage GST registration applications. The new method ensures that have no issue with the application to people, such as unclear reasons for the rejection or miscommunication can be to the specific chief officers for assistance.
New Support System Major Points
Public Email Access: An email address has been provided by each zone managing the central tax, which is for getting grievances. When writing in, applicants must include their Application Reference Number (ARN), the applicable tax jurisdiction, and a short description of their problem.
Cooperation with State Authorities: If the complaint comprises the problems of the state tax cases, then the central tax office shall forward the issue to the related state authority. The GST council, for their record, shall get a notification.
Quick Responses: Such issues shall be expected to be managed by the Chief Commissioners and shall notify the applicants if their concerns are valid.
Monthly Reports: Each tax zone concerning how many complaints they have obtained and solved should report monthly.
To build trust and clarity, CBIC motivates all tax zones to promote such new channels to address problems. Issues must be reported back to the CBIC encountered during this procedure.
