The public is said to take precautions while sharing the Aadhaar and PAN information without any valid reason or towards the financial gains specifying that the details can be misused by the bogus people for GST theft, said CBIC.
Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) mentioned that the Aadhaar and PAN information would be used to make bogus entities in GST towards the theft of taxes and thus people must be cautioned from sharing the same without any true cause.
“Protect your personal data which may be used for creating fake entities in GST for evasion of taxes, CBIC mentioned.
Over the former years, the GST officers has busted various fake companies which are being used to raise the bogus invoices under GST excluding any specific goods supply.
While filing the taxes or filling of the personal information you must check out the SMS received on your mobile number that the same belongs from the government office, check out the URL of the website, etc. as the same might be used by those bogus people whose intention is to use your details and other things and then fraudulently claim the Input tax credit.
With the help of your own verification, one can help itself from facing any bogus activities.
