The Income Tax department on June 7, 2021, launched its new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in. This new portal aims to provide convenience and a modern, seamless experience to taxpayers. However, many technical glitches have been reported by taxpayer ever since its launch. The ICAI also made a presentation on all the reported issues and presented during a meeting with finance ministry officials and Infosys representatives.
