Data Migration to GST Portal will be Completed by Jan 15

According to a press release officially, it mentioned that all the respective dealers who have got their provisional ID and passwords from the department of taxes should enroll themselves in the GST portal and submit the application for enrollment for the same. The Commercial Taxes department assured that the data migration to the GST Portal shall be completed by 15th January 2017.

FM May Announce GST timeline and State Compensation Corpus in Budget 2017

The finance minister Arun Jaitley shall reveal the timeline for the much-anticipated tax reform— GST—in the upcoming Budget 2017-18, which would be carried out on February 1 2017. The Part B of the Budget speech, which contains tax proposals, could bring half-yearly estimates of service, central excise duty and collections from other indirect taxes (excluding customs). India is keen to implement GST on or before September 15, 2017.
