GST intelligence Arm, Directorate general of Goods and Services tax intelligence, has been newly created for the purpose to regulate the money laundering cases in the gems and jewellery sector under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2005.
GST council and central board of excise and customs have undertaken a very good step in order to spread awareness in the context of the goods and service tax to all the business community across the nation.
Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that “GST Council will decide on this (taxation of petroleum products). On behalf of the industry, I would request the states to allow petroleum products to be brought under GST taxation.”
